LG 55-Inch OLED evo C4 Series 4K Smart TV (2024)
The LG C4 improves on the C3 with the α9 Gen7 AI processor, which handles upscaling, tone mapping, and scene-by-scene optimization more effectively than the previous generation. The OLED panel delivers per-pixel control — each of the 8.3 million pixels turns off completely for true blacks — which makes it genuinely better in dark-room HDR content than any LCD panel at a comparable price. The 144Hz refresh rate and 0.1ms input lag cover 4K gaming without motion blur; the C4 is G-Sync and FreeSync Premium compatible. Brightness is up from the C3 on both SDR and HDR peaks — it still doesn't match a high-nit LCD in a bright room, but the gap has narrowed. Built-in Alexa, Google Assistant, and Apple AirPlay 2 are all present; the Magic Remote is included. At 55 inches it competes directly with the Sony A80L and Samsung S90C. The C4 holds its own on color accuracy and falls slightly behind the S90C's brightness in well-lit rooms. For home theater setups where the viewing environment can be darkened, the C4 is the best overall OLED at this screen size.
